Back porch
.back porch and pool
A New back porch extends the width of the kitchen. Column details and soffit match existing. Wider pool apron extends across to the boxwood patio. A statue at the end is a focal point. The porch being more than 3 feet high would require a handrail that is not shown.
.
The same image with the four seasons statues and marble tile added. This is probably not how a Greek revival garden in Georgia would have historically been arranged. Although I have seen black and white marble exterior paths in Charleston. I'm including it was an example only. It fits the Greek form but probably isn't historicaly accurate to the location. This area would most likely have been an herb or flower garden between the main house and carriage house. How to interpret the space for modern use with a pool is the balance one seeks.
. Is a good idea to coordinate the path materials with the front porch and gravel path materials and consider how they compliment the concrete drive. They shouldn't clash of possible.
